Will it rain
or will it shine?
I care not to know
for the answer devine.
In the Sun
under the clouds,
though the road is straight
the consequence is proud.
So to me
I place one foot
then another down
to see life, I partook.

In the late afternoon, a slight breeze buffeted the trees. It was time. With a rush of quaking noise, the mighty Elm gave up her crowning glory of color. For 10 fantastic minutes, the air was alive with a luminous display that made one think,
“This must be what it looks like inside a rainbow”.
The leaves pelted whomever or whatever that were in their way in a mad rush to meet their final resting place to witness next year’s glorious show.
The fog from the river bottom threatened to entomb the golden lure of the trees as the moring sun kissed them with stringers of red.
In time, moments may blur together, but in each breath we take, unique change does happen. This is true with the glory of God.
… and here is the proverbial 2nd flower shot of the year. Every year it happens, Spring has to toy with us. She, Spring that is (yes Spring is a she), will give us a week or so of 50’s and even 60 degree days, but just as soon as you want to shout out to the world how good life is, she pounces on that feeling of euphoria
The ‘09 winter wheat harvest is about half way done, according to some of Alan Welp’s crew. With the better then normal moisture through out the year, and during the harvest itself, yields have been good so far. Hopefully the local area farmers will be able to get all their wheat in before the weather turns violent which has happened north and west of Eckley where several fields have been stripped by hail and wind.
We have had an exceptional Spring for Winter Wheat if the weather will cooperate now to let the farmers into the fields before hail starts to rain dwn.
