Padre Thom, Zeke, and Lucy
I have called him Padre’ (father) Thom for a couple of years now. I think that Zeke, Padre Thom’s oldest child, is only about year old now. And Thom is about 20 years younger then I! So why do I call Thom a Padre’? The simple reason is that Thom is the epitome of a gentile and nurturing soul that we call Fatherhood. And, possibly, I might slightly have helped to persuade Thom to become a Padre’ (or Father, Priest, or Reverend) in the theological realms. Well, Thom has decided to take that call that few of us have been blessed with. Thom is going to attend a Seminary!
Those of you that know me, know that I am a simple carpenter and a bit of a web geek. My sole inspiration of life is not to aspire much more then that. Not that I want much more then that, but there are times that I dream that I might achieve much more then that. One of those times is now. I wish that I could be a man of convincing words. I wish that you could know Thom like I do. I wish that you might understand the design of desire that Thom is under. Thom has been called. Not by me, nor by you, but by something that you and I only hope to. God has called Thom. Thom is seeking what his soul calls him to do. I wish that I could do a lot better job of explaining that.

Another wish that I have, but neither for myself nor for Thom, but for all of us, is that there might be an easier way to do this. And here it comes; it takes $50,000 a year to attend the seminary. If I had that kind of money I would sign a check now. But I do not. So I ask simply, can you help? I ask not for $50,000, not even $1,000, but for what you might know. Do you know of any endowment, grant, or financial aid program? 27% of Thom’s budget is for the family’s insurance. Can you help out there? There are utilities, transportation, and grocer’s expenses. Do you know of some type of aid with those items? Do you know of any purse strings that might open to some financial wrangling?

If you can help out Padre’ Thom in any way, please
email him.
Thank you and of course, God bless.
