This church, Gracious Savior Lutheran Church, was started by just a handful of folks that came to this area to work in support of the ski area. Most of the jobs at major ski areas are filled with younger folks that will sacrifice higher wages so that they can ski. But with so many things, skiing can become old, so the kids usually move on when the ski area closes for the summer. Yet the jobs (grocers, construction, accountants,...) that support the ski area, have residents that stay around all year. These are the folks that started the church of keys. read more

An Excerpt from African Encounters

The noises, he told me, that those lions made, were in his words, awesome, and were so loud, that they made the very air rattle, and the vibrations from their calls, could be felt by placing a hand against the canvas walls of the tent. The lions eventually moved right into camp, and they were all around Johns tent. He could see them walking passed, right through the sides of the tent, by the light from the fire. One of them actually lay against the side of his tent, and it bulged inwards, where the animal relaxed comfortably. Apparently, a little later this lion, had engaged in some sort of wrestling match, with another lion, and they almost brought the tent down. Poor John sat frozen, and silent...(written by Eileen Wisdom)

Wow, my spellchecker does not like that word, but then hey, it did not like Google to start with, either. And that is where Picasa hales from, ...

RssReader is one of the most featured packed RSS Aggregators that I have found. What is a RSS? In a way, it is the future of news media. RSS Feeds allow you to stay current with whatever news channels you wish to follow via the web. RSS Aggregators are the programs that let you read these feeds.
